Flower Crab is known as Blue Swimmer or Blue Crab is one of our favourite seafood. This crab is prepared and eaten as a dish in many different ways all over the world. They are eaten whole, including the shell, such as soft-shell crab. The roe of the female crab is also eaten, which usually appears orange or yellow in fertile crabs. This is popular in Southeast Asian culture and considered a delicacy. Spices also improve the culinary experience and in Southeast Asia and the Indosphere, masala crab and chilli crab are examples of heavily spiced dishes. This is my first attempt to cook masala crab that is commonly sold by Indian food stalls in our area. Give it a try as the dish turned out to be very delicious. The recipe is below:
Ingredients:
Flower Crab x 4
Green Chilli x 2
Large Onion x 1
Tomatoes x 2
Curry Leaves x 10-15 pieces
Seasoning:
Chilli Powder x 2 teaspoon
Salt x 2 teaspoon
Coriander Powder x 1 teaspoon
Tumeric Powder x 1 teaspoon
Fennel Seed Powder x 1/2 teaspoon
Masala Powder x 1/4 teaspoon
Cumin Powder x 1/2 teaspoon
Juice from half a lemon
Cooking oil x 2 teaspoon
Water x 5 teaspoon
