In May, the garden starts to come to life again, and that is what is going on in our garden. I'm still planting things, and the things that I planted are starting to grow noticeably each week. We have a few blooms on our peppers, and our tomatoes will have a few blooms soon. We finally have our straw bales planted with sweet potatoes. In all, we planted 9 different types of sweet potatoes. This week I planted two types of cucumber, two types of small melons, and 5 types of pole beans in our large tomato cages. Growing vertically is a great way to grow more food in the same amount of space. I've also been trying to find room for more sunflowers. Some of them were planted by the birds, and I'll be letting some grow where they came up, and others I will move. 12 Crops To Grow Vertically On A Trellis: /watch/46UYRX5COEfCY Merch: https://teespring.com/stores/midwest-gardener Check Out My Amazon Store (Commissions Earned): https://www.amazon.com/shop/midwestgardener My Nature Channel (Observing Nature): /user/heroletters Midwest Gardener is also on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
