This is a song about those less fortunate than ourselves. When I worked in the Tenderloin in San Francisco, I would pass many of the indigent and homeless as I walked down Fifth from Market to Howard Street. Over the years I have seen friends and relations become homeless. This is written from the point of view of the homeless person. In this time of Coronavirus, the homeless population, one of the most vulnerable on the planet, faces risk far higher than the average person, with no access to health care and no way to self isolate.
