Khichdi is a dish in South Asian cuisine, made of rice & lentils but other variations include Bajra & Moong dal Khichdi. In Indian culture it is consider one of the fast solid foods that babies eat.

Bhuna comes from the Urdu word for "Fried" because the spices are fried in oil to bring out their flavored during the cooking process. The meat or vegetables are then added with the natural juices enhancing the taste & used to create a thick, spicy sauce.
