What people call rocks are generally stones, which are classified as boulders (large stones) stones (of particular size) and pebbles (small stones) i am aware that in the vernacular there is no difference, and everything is rocks. However, in geology they arestones are formed from rock as a result of mechanical or chemical weathering. ...Expand
