Scratchboard Illustration of a Coat of Arms for a Wine Label

Time-lapse video showing the process of rendering by hand a family crest in scratchboard to be used on a wine label. A more accurate description of my style might be "Pen and Ink on Scratchboard." I work on white scratchboard and draw with pen and ink everything that will be 50 percent gray or lighter. Things that are darker than 50 percent gray, I block in with solid black ink and scratch in white details with a scratchboard knife.
