For years, individuals in Lebanon who dared to voice criticism against the government or political establishment faced persecution. Dozens of courageous newspapers were abruptly shuttered, and journalists were targeted for assassination. In a bold stand against the silencing of the press, AnNahar introduced the Newspapers-Inside-The-Newspaper Edition. This daily publication begins as AnNahar but gradually unveils previously extinct newspapers resurrected from the past. Authored by the same journalists who once led these papers, the revived publications provide a platform for people to express themselves without fear of reprisal.
